A new season began, she had no clue

The tales of flashes were really true
Til one day consumed by heat
Sweat pops like in a hot seat
She waited for the air to break through.

Still not sure, it happened so fast

An explosion of heat, like from a blast
But shortly after, it was gone
And cold set in, what is wrong?
She asked when everything settled at last.
