Jesus Stayed in God's Will

Jesus stayed the course

He stayed in God’s will

Tried and convicted

He climbed Golgotha’s Hill.

He was nailed to the cross

In silence some did weep

He could’ve come down

But He had a promise to keep.

He could’ve hung on the cross in anger

But instead He had a forgiving heart

For those who cried, “Crucify Him!”

Love He did impart.

But on the cross He remained

From the sixth to the ninth hour still

Then He bowed His head and died

And scripture was fulfilled.

Jesus laid down His life for our sins

God’s purpose He did fill

He stayed on the cross

Jesus stayed in God’s will.
