The Truth

The truth is the light that will make you free

Find it in God’s word

Truth sometimes hurt but is no enemy

Don’t wander in life accidentally

The word is your guide

The truth is the light that will make you free

To ignore the truth brings about misery

Harsh it may seem.  Still,

Truth sometimes hurt but is no enemy

You can’t make the insanity plea

The word liberates

The truth is the light that will make you free

Don’t live your life independently

Void of the word.  Yes,

Truth sometimes hurt but is no enemy

The Holy Bible is the master key

God’s word.   Remember,

The truth is the light that makes you free

Truth sometimes hurt but is no enemy

You Knew but Still Went

You knew but still went

Your heart set

To serve and protect was your intent.

The decision to go you did not lament

Informed of danger

You knew but still went.

The United States of America you did represent

Putting your life on the line

To serve and protect was your intent.

When you signed on the line it meant

Leaving your family and friends behind

You knew but still went.

Hard physical training you underwent

Preparing for the mission

To serve and protect was your intent.

The loss of life you could not circumvent

For the freedom of others the ultimate sacrifice you made

You knew but still went

To serve and protect was your intent.
